At Billbrain Institute of Technology (BIT), we believe that meaningful learning extends beyond the classroom through practical application, innovation, and strong industry partnerships. Our projects and collaborations provide students, faculty, and partners with opportunities to solve real-world challenges, develop innovative technologies, and contribute to sustainable community and industry development.
Working closely with government agencies, private sector organizations, development partners, and local communities, BIT delivers impactful projects in digital transformation, software development, artificial intelligence, research, capacity building, and technology innovation. These collaborations strengthen practical learning, foster professional experience, and ensure our graduates are equipped with the skills needed to thrive in today's rapidly evolving digital economy.
Below are some training outreach projects we have implemented, among others.

UCC / USUSAF Multimedia Training

The UCC/UCUSAF ICT & Multimedia Skills Training Project was a youth skilling initiative implemented through a partnership between Uganda Communications Commission (UCC), under the Uganda Communications Universal Service Access Fund (UCUSAF), and Billbrain Technologies Ltd together with its implementation partners.
The project aimed to equip young Ugandans with practical ICT and multimedia production skills that foster innovation, promote local digital content creation, and increase employment opportunities within Uganda's growing creative industry.

Heifer International – ADAP ICT Skills Training

Implemented on behalf of Heifer International Uganda with support from aBi Developments Ltd, implementing a three years (2020-2022) dairy value chain project called “The Accelerate Dairy Production and Productivity (ADAP)” with the aim of supporting quality data management for Participating Organisations’ businesses and digitalizing milk records at PO through enhancement of the practical ICT skills for Participating Organisations’ personnel.

EAYIP – Information Access & Sharing

Billbrain Technologies Ltd. successfully implemented a comprehensive ICT Training and Technical Backstopping program for Cluster Coordinators, Hub Staff, and Hub Board Members under Heifer International Uganda’s East Africa Youth Inclusion Program (EAYIP). The assignment focused on strengthening the use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) to improve access to, management, and sharing of business information across 13 youth-led agribusiness hubs where EAYIP operates.
The main objective of the assignment was to equip hub staff and selected youth leaders with practical ICT knowledge and tools that support business operations, access to information, and decision-making.

CURAD MOBIP Project – Digital Agribusiness Skills Training

Billbrain Technologies Ltd. partnered with the Consortium for Enhancing University Responsiveness to Agribusiness Development (CURAD) to deliver ICT skills training for youth and women beneficiaries under the Market-Oriented and Environmentally Sustainable Beef Meat Industry (MOBIP) Project.
The MOBIP project, formally titled “Improving Competitiveness and Productivity of the Beef Sub-sector through Fostering Gender Responsive, Inclusive and Sustainable Rangeland, Agro-Forestry and Water Resources Management (RAWM–Beef)”, is being implemented by CURAD in partnership with NaLIRRI, FAO, and AGRENES, with support from the European Union and collaboration with key national stakeholders including MAAIF and NARO.

AgroTech Innovations Under NIISP ICT Phase II

At Billbrain Technologies, we are thrilled to celebrate the success of two incredible startups from our Incubation Programme, who have emerged victorious in the National ICT Initiatives Support Programme (NIISP) Phase II. These innovators in the Agriculture Sector have been awarded funding to further their groundbreaking applications, which will undoubtedly transform the agricultural landscape in Uganda.

Tullow Oil Uganda – Project KUHA

In partnership with Tullow Oil Uganda, through the Tullow Group Alumni Association (TGSS), we have conducted a one (1) month training for 63 primary school teachers in digital skills for teaching and learning, under the train-the-trainer model (June – July 2019) to enable pass on the skills acquired to their respective primary school pupils.
The activity was carried out in 4 schools of Buliisa primary School(Buliisa District), Kaiso primary school (Hoima District), Kyehoro primary school (Hoima District), and Ndandamirie primary school (Buliisa District) within Uganda’s Albertine Graben. The project also donated solar powered computer labs to the beneficiary schools which we have gone ahead to technically support for the project’s sustainability.

Digital Marketing Training for Youth Farmers

Billbrain Technologies Ltd. successfully conducted a Digital Marketing and e-Commerce Training for youth farmers under the CURAD Agribusiness Incubator in October 2017. The training aimed to enhance the capacity of youth-led agribusinesses to leverage digital platforms for marketing, customer engagement, and business growth.
